High Speed UK - Links to East Anglia

No dedicated HSUK routes are proposed within East Anglia.  However, new and upgraded HSUK routes within the East Midlands and the Northern Powerhouse will transform intercity rail links to East Anglia via Peterborough.

With these enhancements in place, HSUK will offer the following key benefits for East Anglia:

Existing Norwich-Liverpool service upgraded to high speed as HSUK22, with journey times halved between Peterborough and Liverpool.

Existing Stansted-Birmingham service upgraded to high speed as HSUK07, and rerouted via Nottingham and Derby.

“HS2 modelling is shocking, biased and bonkers.”

“No economic case for HS2... it will destroy jobs and force businesses to close.”
